National Giving Tuesday 11/28/2023
This GivingTuesday, please consider supporting
LHRC with our annual Fundraise-OAR!
While rowing is an expensive sport, as a non-profit program, Litchfield Hills Rowing Club does everything possible to keep rowing affordable for each athlete who wishes to row!
If an athlete wants to get in a boat, we will have a seat for them! But right now, we are finding we do not always have enough OARS! Literally!
With our continued growth across all levels of our program, from 8th grade, high school, and master, we need new oars to help ALL our rowers achieve their goals!
On this Giving Day, we seek assistance in gathering funds to acquire 8 sets of sculling blades and 8 sweep blades. Any surplus funds raised will be allocated towards procuring a new LHRC-branded team tent for the use by our amazing parents' association!
So, lend us an unblistered hand in our end-of-the-year Fundraise-OAR. Your donation will allow us to continue the successes we have from this past year.
Just this year we had 215 youth, and 133 masters take to the water!
With an 11-place finish, our Master’s Women’s 8 retained their bid for the 2024 Head of the Charles. LHRC women have held that bid for 7 years in a row!!
24 Youth athletes qualified for and raced at Youth Nationals this past spring, including our inaugural 8th grade racing teams!
Graduated 13 seniors with an impressive eight among them rowing at D1 programs!
Our fundraising initiatives help us maintain our club as one of the most cost-effective options in Connecticut. This ensures that every rower enjoys a championship-level experience, and we can provide financial aid to those in need.
In other words, lack of funds should never be a barrier preventing a young athlete from pursuing their passion!
Thank you from the LHRC Community!
